Truckload Fundraising
1. WHERE IS THE FRUIT GROWN?
All fruit is grown in the Indian River district located on the East Coast of Florida. This encompasses
an area approximately 20 miles inland from the Atlantic Ocean. We ship from Vero Beach, Florida.
2. HOW DO I SELL A TRUCKLOAD?
Take orders in advance or advertise your sale in advance, order a truckload and SELL... SELL...
SELL. We'll supply you with customized order forms and posters.
3. HOW MUCH DOES FUNDRAISING FRUIT COST AND WHAT DO I CHARGE?
Prices for fruit are set each August. Generally, past prices ranged from $8-$11 for small boxes
and $13-$17 for large boxes depending on the type of fruit. Of course, your location (which affects
shipping costs), hurricanes, fuel price increases, and other factors can affect the price. We
are glad to provide you with the actual fruit costs once we know your location and when you will
be doing your fundraiser.
The price that we quote you includes the wholesale fruit price plus delivery for a fully loaded
truck. We suggest adding $ 7.00 to $10.00 per box to the quoted price.
4. HOW DO I PLACE MY ORDER?

5. IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER?
A full truck can carry 1,000 large boxes (4/5 bushel, 40 lbs.) or 2000 small boxes (2/5 bushel,
20 lbs.).
During the Fall:
minimum order is 110 boxes as long as your order is placed by the second Friday in November.
Delivery will be during the first week of December. (We will work with you to determine a specific
date and time.)
For all other dates:
minimum order is ½-truckload.
6. WHEN CAN I EXPECT DELIVERY?
In order to provide you with the freshest fruit possible, your fruit is not picked until your
order is received. Your fruit can be delivered within two weeks from the date we receive your
order.
7. IS IT GUARANTEED TO ARRIVE IN GOOD CONDITION?
Yes, we meet and exceed all expectations. We ship 1% extra fruit with your order so that if any
spoilage is found, the unsatisfactory fruit can be replaced immediately.
8. CAN I DESIGNATE A SPECIFIC DAY FOR ARRIVAL?
Orders may be requested to arrive around a specific day, such as Thanksgiving or Christmas. If
you have a specific date that the fruit has to be delivered, please let us know and we will do
our best to work with you. Please note: the order size limitations apply (see #5 above). For truckload
deliveries, we will provide you with the exact day and time of delivery.
You will need to unload the truck. This is most easily accomplished in one of three manners.
- Use a fork lift to unload the palette from the truck
- Have the truck back up to a loading dock at your location and use a palette jack to unload
full palettes at a time.
- Have the truck back up to a loading dock at your location, place a strong chain or rope around
the palette and pull the palette onto the loading dock.
9. WHAT ARE THE SHIPPING CHARGES?
Shipping charges are included in the price per box that we quote you and are based on a full truckload
order. For orders smaller than a full truck, we include your order on a truck delivering multiple
orders in your area. In this case, there is an extra drop charge. For orders smaller than ½-truckload,
there may be an additional surcharge.
10. HOW MUCH PROFIT DO I MAKE?
You determine your own profit on your truckload fundraiser ... add $5, $10, whatever you like to the price that we quote you.
That amount is yours to keep. We suggest adding $ 7.00 to $10.00 per box.
11. WHEN IS PAYMENT DUE?
Payment is due within ten days after the fruit is delivered.
